If and only if you are Drum Network members, as part of your  package, you are entitled to two free entries.  To claim these free entries: 

1. Log in to the website and create your entries.
2. Contact us to let us know which entries you'd like for free.
3. We will make your entries skip the payment section and go forward for judging. 
4. You can enter more than just your 2 free entries. Once we have put your free entries forward for judging, add your extra entries and then go through the payment process.
 

Please Note: the discounted 2nd entry price of £95 will only apply when you pay for all of your entries at the same time so leave your entries in your basket until you are ready to submit.

How do I enter?

• Register or log in to this website. (top right) 
• The website is now on our new multiplatform so if you have previously registered for these awards, you may need to do so again.
• Decide what categories you are going to enter. You may enter as many categories as you like but each must be treated as a separate entry and payment made for each. 
• To add an entry, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page and choose ‘My companies’ from the drop down. On the next page, chose or add the company you would like to enter on behalf of and then click 'Add an Entry' from the option.
• Add a short description of no more than 60 words as an overview of the project. In the event your entry is nominated this text will be used on the website to give insight into the project.
• You are also able to acknowledge another agency if the work has been jointly created.
• You will also need to use the entry summary template to write your entry using a maximum of 1250 words, plus a 250 executive summary. Please upload as a PDF document only. The individual and team categories require a seperate template.
• Upload hi-res images of your work* (this is important as these images are shown online and during the show if nominated) and any supporting YouTube or Vimeo video URLs.
• In the event of your entry being nominated, images, videos and the summary will be live on the website.
Please note: At least one image must be uploaded (file limit 10MB. Accept jpg, gif or png files). The first image will be used in listings of entries.
• Once you have uploaded all of your entries, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page, chose ‘My Companies’ again from the drop down, chose the company whose entries you wish to pay for. add all to your basket and proceed with payment from there.
• Once payment is processed you will be sent a confirmation email and a receipt will be sent out to you.
• If you would like to make any changes to your entry, please do so before you submit as changes cannot be made after this stage.
All entries must be made by the deadline on 24 August 2018.  All entries made after this date will be subject to a 10% late fee.
• Entries and payment should be made online.

How will my entry be judged?
We aim to make entering the Agency Business Awards as easy as possible. You simply have to write a 1,000- word report detailing your business or marketing success over the last 12 months. An entry template has been created for you and can be downloaded from www.agencybusinessawards.com. The judges will be looking for examples of:

• Innovative thinking
• Excellent business
• Strong results (wherever possible backed up with
financial evidence)

Overall
• You must include an executive summary of no more than 250 words in length.
• Company Details (Will remain confidential) – Annual turnover, staff numbers, key clients, new clients and new hires.
• Tell the judges about your outstanding achievements over the past year (Criteria: leadership, work, financial performance, team development, client service, innovation)
• Key Business Successes of the Last year – Provide information on what were the company highlights over the eligibility period.

Agency
• You must include an executive summary of no more than 250 words in length.
• Company Details (Will remain confidential) – Annual turnover, staff numbers, key clients, new clients and new hires.
• Tell the judges about your outstanding achievements over the past year

Business Strategy
• You must include an executive summary of no more than 250 words in length.

• Best strategies that apply to the agency itself.

Judges will be looking for evidence you can practice what you preach to clients. Criteria will include innovative thinking and evidence to support
claims.

Back Office
• You must include an executive summary of no more than 250 words in length.
• Company Details (Will remain confidential) – Annual turnover, staff numbers, key clients, new clients and new hires.
• This category is designed to celebrate the unsung heroes of the marketing service business. The people who work so hard behind the scenes to provide a platform for the success of your business as a whole. We will be looking for evidence of innovation, fantastic service, and the rights results.

Work
• You must include an executive summary of no more than 250 words in length.
• Company Details (Will remain confidential) – Annual turnover, staff numbers, key clients, new clients and new hires.
• This category will celebrate the hardest thing any communications agencies has to do - its own communications! We will be looking for example of the actual work, and case studies or work that you have done for yourselves. In all instances they will include example of original thinking, and strong results.

Tips for entering

  • The awards are judged by a panel that have different backgrounds and experience within the marketing industry.  Keep this in mind when writing your report and explain things clearly.
  • Don’t assume that the judges know your company, campaign or product/service.
  • When discussing figures, tell the judges what the actual figures were, rather than just using percentages (increases). This will add credibility to your submission and give the judges a better understanding of your successes.
  • Keep your submissions concise and straight to the point. You may use bullet points and tables to cut down lengthy paragraphs but still cover your key details. 
  • Entry templates have been created for all sections of categories to help structure your report on the website.
  • Make sure you cover all of the points that are required for your specific category. You can find this information in the entry pack. 

Entry rules

Entry rules. 

  • Entries must be received no later than the published deadline date. 
     
  • All submissions must be made online. 
     
  • Entries must have been live to market at some point between 1 September 2017 and 24 August  2018. Entries do not have to be created within this timescale.
     
  • Do not include password protection or if essential, include passwords for judges to access.
     
  • All entries must be supplied and conform to the category rules/submission formats.
     
  • Work entered into more than one category must be treated as a completely separate entry.  Multiple entries can be made but separate payment must be made for each.  Please note: you will ONLY receive the 2nd entry rate if you enter all your submissions at the same time. Leave your entries in your basket until you are sure they are complete. Refunds will not be given.
     
  • The judging panel will only read and use the entries/reports for the purposes of the judging and are required to sign NDAs.
     
  • The judges reserve the right to re-allocate entries that in their view are entered in an incorrect category.   The judges also reserve the right to remove categories where entries do not meet the standard for nomination. These entries will not be refunded as they will have been judged accordingly.
     
  • The judges’ decision is final. 
     
  • Due to the number of entries received, the awards cannot give feedback on individual entries.
     
  • By entering these awards, you give the organisers the right to publish/exhibit screen grabs and/or submitted report. If you wish to upload a modified /less commercially sensitive version for publishing purposes, please do so on the entry upload form.
     
  • The organisers reserve the right to verify that all entries have been commercially produced for a commercial client where relevant.
     
  • All entries submitted must be legal. Any entries containing offensive material will be disqualified. Any entry that has a complaint upheld against it by the Advertising Standards Authority will be disqualified.

When will nominations be announced?

The finalists will be announced on the website on 17 October at 3pm.

All entrants will be notified when the announcement has been made and nominees will receive a congratulatory email.  

Winners will be announced at our Awards Ceremony Tuesday 27 November at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square.
