Amar Singh is Senior Vice-President, Content and Comms of MKTG Sports + Entertainment, working closely with a host of global brands on the activation of their partnerships in sport. A former head of football strategy and senior brand manager for Budweiser, head of content at West Ham United and with a background as a Fleet Street journalist, Amar draws on his unique experience and insight to analyse and comment on some of the most topical and highly charged talking points in the sector addressing issues such as human rights, inequality and reputational missteps. Amar also edited and published MKTG Sport + Entertainment’s report Decoding The Modern Fan 2022, which was the first major global fan study following the pandemic and identified some major trends and opportunities relating to sports partnerships. It was downloaded more than 500 times on The Drum’s website. Amar’s Thought Leadership work always supports the marketing strategy of MKTG S+E and has helped position the agency as an expert in the ever-shifting expectations of fans and how to drive best practice in sports partnership work. As well as writing Thought Leadership pieces, Amar is also regularly asked to contribute to articles and has been quoted over the past 12 months by a host of organisations including The Athletic, SportsPro and The i newspaper.
